My Am/pm Skincare Routine For Dry Skin
Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog. Today’s post is all about my skincare routine. It took me a long time to find products and create a routine for myself that truly worked for skin type. I’ve spent so much money, time and effort figuring things out. Now I finally have the skin that I’ve always wanted.
I have quite dry skin where if I do not properly moisturize, I will flake like crazy. I love to use three brands mainly. Sea Kind, The Golden Secrets and The Ordinary. They all have plenty of moisturizing products that makes my skin super soft and helps to clear up my acne.
Step 1
I love to start with cleansing my face. I will use the Sea Kind Revive Facial Cleanser. Then depending on how much exfoliation I need I will use the Dermasuri Deep Exfoliation Facial Mitt followed by the Sea Kind Revive Facial Toner.
Step 2
After making sure that my face and neck are thoroughly cleansed and exfoliated this is when I like to use facial masks. I will usually rotate once or twice a week depending on how bad my skin is that week between the AHA+BHA Exfoliating Peel Solution and the Salicylic Acid Mask from the Ordinary.
Step 3
After masking I will usually follow this up with my moisturizer, serum and facial oil at night and my moisturizer, serum and spf in the morning. I will use Sea Kind’s elysium perfecting anti-again serum followed by the fortify cell boosting day and the alive reef safe sunscreen. At night I will I use the Elysium anti-aging serum again followed by the fortify cell renewal night cream this time. I usually like to use an oil at night to really help protect my skin barrier and deeply moisturize. I will usually use either the golden secrets youth beauty facial oil or the heal all oil at night.
Step 4
I usually like to follow up my nighttime skincare routine with a facial massage usually the gua sha tool from the golden secrets to help tone and increase blood flow to my skin. In the morning I will do the same thing using instead the pulse firming face wand after moisturizing in order to firm and lift my face.
This entire process will usually take me about 25-30 min minutes depending on how long I massage my face. This has been my routine for the last year now. During quarantine I really experimented with my beauty regimens and have now found a routine that leaves my skin hydrated, soft, and glowy. Let me know your fave products and how you use them!
Until next time! Xoxo
