5 tips to have glowing sKin

Hello everyone and welcome back to the blog. Todays post is all going to be all about my tips and tricks to achieving glowing skin.

I always had dull everything. Dull skin, dull hair, dull eyes, you name it. This is something that seriously bothered teenage year old me and I wished I had done these tips far sooner.

We put our skin through a lot and our skin tells us exactly what it needs, what it likes and what it hates. In order to have glowy skin, you have to properly nourish it both inside and out.

  1. Vitamins and Minerals

I cannot stress how important consuming your vitamins and minerals is and how much of an impact it will make in the appearance of your skin. Vitamins such as Niacin aka B3 helps to keep your skin soft, vitamin A fights free radicals, promotes the growth of healthy new skin cells and strengthens the skin. Vitamin C is crucial for collagen synthesis, wound healing and healthy skin. Vitamin C also helps to protect your skin from radical damage and sun damage. Properly nourishing and hydrating your skin will reward you with a radiant glow from within complexion.

  2. Exfoliation

One of the best ways to brighten skin in both the short and long term is to exfoliate with either a physical exfoliant like a scrub several times a week or a chemical exfoliator such as a chemical peel, once a week. Exfoliating is a great way to get rid of dead skin cells, unclogs pores, prevents acne, evens out your skin tone and allows for other skincare products to penetrate your skin deeper.

  3. Thorough Cleanse

Properly and consistently cleansing your skin can alleviate many skin issues by getting rid of bacteria. Cleansing helps to keep your skin soft, helps to stimulate blood circulation which brings lots of nutrients to skin. This is why eating healthy is so important because all those vitamins and minerals in our blood goes to our skin. Cleansing is also important for managing pH levels of the skin. Having an imbalanced pH level can cause dryness, acne, and conditions such as psoriasis.

  4. MOisturizing

Moisturizing your skin is a huge step that cannot be skipped at all. Moisturizing everyday can actually help decrease the chances of you developing extreme dryness or oiliness. Both of these common conditions can cause acne or skin flaking. Moisturizing your skin helps to slow down the signs of aging, soothe sensitive skin, and protect your skin against environmental factors such as pollution and too much sun exposure.

  5. Brightening skincare Ingredients

When looking for skincare products make sure to look on the packaging for terms such as brightening and skin tone evening. Look for active skincare ingredients such as vitamin c which is an antioxidant that helps to brighten skin by blocking the enzyme that produces pigment. Also look for Niacin aka vitamin B3 which helps to slow pigment production to lighten dark spots.

Conclusion

These tips are a great starting point for anyone looking to get started with properly taking care of their skin. Doing these 5 tips above consistently will definitely improve your skin.
